All 300 and 333 were made as Rev. 3C.

Late 266 were made as Rev. 2B.

Early 266 were made as Rev. 1A.

Apple's policy on field repairs, as well as factory refurbs, is to
maintain the original mobo and ROM revision.

Sure, it is possible that a field repair from 266 Rev. 2B to 266 Rev. 3C
occurred, but it is not supposed to happen that way.

I have intentionally downgraded my 333 MiniTower to Rev 3A, from Rev. 3C,
mainly because all devices other than the attached CD-ROM-R-R/W and
DVD-ROM-R-R/W are on a (FLASHed) Apple/ATTO UW-SCSI card, and I have no
use for slave support.

The UATA HDs on this machnine are on the UW-SCSI bus, connected to same
through the ACARD "SCSI Bridge" device, the UW model, which works
flawlessly.

The boot and backup boot devices are LVD/SE 18.3 GB devices.

The UATA (simulated as UW-SCSI) devices are used for CD and DVD mastering.
