Ok I am trying to play a multiplayer game called Star Craft with the Brood War Expansion CD.
I am trying to do Mac to PC over IPX and we are using an Ethernet crossover cable. MacIPX control Panel is installed AppleTalk is on, set to use Ethernet. I am running OS 8.6 on my Beige G3. PC is running Win XP PC user can find my Mac on the his networking info. Started up Star Craft Brood War. Set it for MultiPlayer. Set it to use MacIPX. PC User Creates a Game on his PC Star Craft Brood War. I see him on my list of games on Star Craft Brood War. But PC user can't see me on his list. I try to join his Game and Star Craft Brood War and I get "Unable to join game" and ui have to click OK. According to the PC's Networking Info in a period of 12 Minutes the PC had sent 413 Packets and my Mac had sent 0 Packets, even if the PC info did say that the two computers were connected using the crossover cable. I started up File Sharing and Program Linking and this didn't help. Please help me with this, My Mac G3 looks bad! -- The Librarian looked out at the jolting scenery. He was sulking.
