Is there something that has changed?
Always Office98 Word .docs (Mac) would open in Office 2000 and XP just fine, and vice versa mostly.
I've got OS X and Office X now, I've sent my wife 1 word .doc that she could not read in Office XP (workflow was: she sent me a .doc, I edited, resaved, sent back, it's not readable by OfficeXP), and one of her students just sent her another OfficeX document that again she can't read (I've not yet received it on my Mac to test it there).
Is this the return of the bad old days of willful incompatibility?
