I have OS X, though not installed. Do I need to install that? I ask because, although I have a couple extra drives, last time I tried to put one in the computer, I think I almost blew it up because I got confused about which jumpers should be where, and which drive shoud be number 1, 0, etc.
My Beige is tricked out with a Belkin USB PCI card and that works great.
I was a very reluctant adopter of OS X - in fact I bought the full retail version, installed it and reverted to OS9 in disgust... BUT I didn't know what I was missing. Once I had given myself time to get used to it I find it infinitely better and would never return to OS9. Give it a chance!
