I am coming to that point...I have an iMac that I have been quite happy with...I am not a "power user" - lots of email, ebay selling so pictures, internet, etc. but no large amount of graphics and I really like my current computer at OS 9.2.2
I was a very reluctant adopter of OS X - in fact I bought the full retail version, installed it and reverted to OS9 in disgust... BUT I didn't know what I was missing. Once I had given myself time to get used to it I find it infinitely better and would never return to OS9. Give it a chance!
After my son got a new Dell and has a large flat panel monitor...I REALLY want a new machine with a flat panel, bigger screen and maybe OSX. I figure by the time I can afford a new iMac or whatever that will have a flat panel screen, they should have most of the bugs worked out! LOL!
Truthfully, I need to get some bills paid off and then I can look toward buying a new one...This is one of the last slot loader iMacs that was out the bondi blue I think...nice machine and does all I need but the screen just gets less bright all the time. I want one of those iLamp things on my desk! :o)
