The main change in printing between Jag and Panther is the inclusion of Gimp-print in the OS (Apple bowed to the inevitable...*I* didn't know a single OS X user who didn't, eventually, add Gimp-print....) and the ability to create desktop printers.
I've printed many things in Panther, what specifically do you need to do?
