--- You wrote: I've printed many things in Panther, what specifically do you need to do? --- end of quote --- Ok Bruce, the problems for me in printing in X were:
1. The pane system of print settings was indeed a pain. Too many pages. 2. Print settings didn't stick to documents. Every time I needed to reprint doc, I had to reset the settings. I never got to the bottom of this. 3. Print errors, like running out of paper, or in the case of two sided prints, not getting the page back in the printer fast enough, were non-recoverable. In 9 you just hit continue. In Jaguar, you start again. Awful. 4. At work, (a middle school) there have been major font compatibility problems. Not smooth. I solved some of the problems here by showing folks how they could print in Classic by opening those apps that could in Classic. These apply to an Epson printer, so some of the problems may be due to a poorly written driver. But I'm guessing many are os probs. I'm very curious to know if any of these issues have been corrected in Panther. Rich -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
