Here's the scenario. I have a 266 Mhz G3 Beige DT with 96 Mb of RAM which---->

install a 20 Gb HD and at least 256 Mb of RAM. Once installed I would like
to have YDL, OS-X and OS 9.2 all installed on this machine and the ability to
start the computer in any of the OS's mentioned. What is the best way to
achieve this goal? In other words, how should I go about it, install which
one first and where, etc. I also plan to buy a USB/Firewire card for this in
the near future. I'm using the stock video which has the RAM upgraded to 6
Mb. Any help provided will be greatly appreciated.

There are no actual references on how-to (although I didn't check the How-To's section) setup a dual/triple boot system, but from the support page, a dual-boot is implied as required. There are references to not installing 10.2.8, and that Journaled FS's aren't supported by the YDL kernel as of yet, and other caveats, etc.
My personal recommendation is to get an aftermarket video card (the 16Megs that shipped with the B&W's work well, sans Quartz Extreme support), and can be found at a great deal most of the time. From there, I'd bypass anything else but Panther, as it's UNIX underpinnings walk all over any Linux or BSD distro I've worked with. Besides, if you want to run Linux, it can be done on a machine costing less than $100. Add a $40 USB KVM switch, and you can have 2 machines, one a mac running Panther, another running any x86 OS you choose, then compare the usefulness and speed of each.
I've found I spend much less time directly on my *nix boxes now that I have OS X. I seldom touch the windows machines (it's just gross!)
Finally, I'd recommend reading everything you can on YDL's site, as Linux isn't like installing any OS, and does require a bit of geek knowledge to configure and emulate a well running OS X system.
