In general you have to accommodate PC users. I administer over 100 Macs for a company that's 95% Mac based. Yes, there are companies out there who are smart enough to use Macs instead of PCs. I have people use Entourage for email. I make sure there preference settings are set to encode for Windows (mine/base64). I also have them append the file name extensions. This makes sure the 3 digit extension gets added to any attached document or picture. This takes care of the problem about 99% of the time. Hope that Helps.
