Now I have this wonderful QS and I want to know how I can copy files from my
laptop to the mac and from the mac to my laptop and to the server.
What needs to be done on the PC's to allow me to see the mac.
Turn on windows sharing in the sharing panel. Then the PC's can see your computer via Network Neighborhood. Log on with your username and password, and you can see your home folder. You can also set up guest access, and then you can see any files in any user's public folder.
What needs to be done on the mac to allow me to see the PC's? How do I 'browse' my local network on the mac to find my local machines?
In finder click on the Go > Network menu item...I suspect you'll be pleased ;-)
Also, I want to share the printer hooked to my mac and be able to print to
it from my PC's.
All of this stuff is built in to 10.3. Like I said before, dig into the help files, they're quite clear.
