Troubleshooting:
In Directory Addess (Applications/Utilities folder), what services are turned on?
In the Sharing preference panel (System Preferences):
1) What Services are turned on? 2) Is the Firewall turned on? If yes, what ports are allowed?
How are your PCs and your Mac being assigned their IP addresses? Are they all on the same subnet?
Also in that Directory Address app, there's .smb aka samba, that's probably turned on turned on by default, did you add the name of your workgroup there?
Thanks for your help.
Any idea why when I'm in Finder and I do Go>Network, it has a Network icon, that is an alias, when I try to run it, I get an error message that says "The alias "?" could not be opened, because the original item cannot be found."
