Keyspan had one back when the BW came out, I searched for one, about a year ago and found another brand or two - sorry, I don't have the time to dig out links right now.
I a LaserWriter Select an Appletalk printer?
I hope it is because my cartridge was more than half full when I switched to OSX.
I bought a B/W for work shortly after they came out; bought a Keyspan at that time to hook my Newton up (via serial). No Keyspan adapter that they sold then would support Appletalk (localtalk), and the Keyspan webpage now indicates that no current one does either.
Every FAQ I've read says that Appletalk(localtalk) will not cross any available USB to serial adapter.
I'd be happy to be wrong...
You should rather (I think) be hoping that your LW-Select is SERIAL as then it would work (I don't know which it is, I suspect it's Appletalk-only as with the Personal LaserWriters but you can check Apple's knowledgebase to find out for sure).
Certainly don't drop the $19 to $45 on a USB to serial adapter without checking with the manufacturer first.
