Stretching this topic out a little as I think the original poster now knows he has a USB printer, right? But:
The last time I looked, _none_ of the USB to serial adapters (Keyspan etc) supported Appletalk (note, serial to USB is intrinisically different and again I think none are made like this, only USB to serial).
Thus they'd not work for appletalk-only printers.
Has that changed?
