The last time I looked, _none_ of the USB to serial adapters (Keyspan etc) supported Appletalk (note, serial to USB is intrinisically different and again I think none are made like this, only USB to serial).
Thus they'd not work for appletalk-only printers.
Has that changed?
Keyspan had one back when the BW came out, I searched for one, about a year ago and found another brand or two - sorry, I don't have the time to dig out links right now.
