R.A., Both the newer versions of OE and Entourage have advanced account settings that allow you to enter account names and passwords. Some of the ISP's ( SBC DSL and some of the Cable Broadband services) are using a modified PPoE setup that requires a "login" ( for lack of a better term) to SEND as well as receive your mail. Had this problem with SBC, it took the longest time to figure out, because the Techs for the ISP are Mac morons ( You know, "uuuh, we don't support Macs" ). Check your account settings ( tools, accounts, mail tab, edit, and the "click here for advanced sending options"). Dialog box will read: Check "SMTP Server Requires Authentication" Check "Log on Using" Enter your ENTIRE e-mail ID Password Save password in My Mac OS keychain ( unless you wish to enter it each time you send mail) Good Luck.
