Thank you Amanda and James for this info on how to use a G4 ZIF in a B&W.

However that involves a rather pricey new module from some OEM. What I'm hoping for is someway to reuse a G4 ZIF someone else no longer needs as they have upgraded. So, what I guess I'm looking for is a patch I can download? Anyone know where to find that?

TIA,
       Anand

I don't know if the patch from the upgrade manufacturers are product specific. You might try installing one and see if you can use the real G4 CPU. I installed the XLR8 patch several days before I put their upgrade in my system and it didn't affect anything.

I know XLR8 has all the patches available for download from their website. Personally, I would try that, but then I'm pretty geeky that a way!

Amanda
