You can mount cd from Mac 1 on Mac 2 But it will only be a mounted share.
Even if that Mount is in a CD-R/RW you will not be able to use it as one from the other machine.
You will want to do what is discribed below. That is on the Mac that has the CD burner mount the
Volume you want to burn from Mac 2 then go to town you will be able to burn from that volume like it was
on Mac 1. Also in order to see all volumes from Mac 2 you need to log on as the owner for classic and or as an
Admin in X.

I can get the HD in Computer #1 to show on #2 and vice versa but how do I
get the CD to show? I want to copy directly from #2 CD to #1 CD. The CDs
do not show up in file sharing setup like the HDs do.

I use my CD burner for both of my G3's (9.2.2) by simply putting the hard
drive you need to copy from on the desktop of the machine that has the
burner, and burn away. Just make sure file sharing is turned on and use the
chooser to put the HD on the desktop. One thing to note...you will probably
need to burn at a slower speed over a network.

I have a B&W G3 OS 9.2.2 and Starmax 5500 OS 8.6 connected via a D Link hub
to a cable modem. I also have the computers setup to share the HD on the
other machine. Is there any way to get the computers to share the other
machine's CD drive?
