I am assuming you have run the head-cleaning utility built into the driver? You should run it up to 4 consecutive times, and if it still doesn't work, then wait overnight and try 4 more times. If THAT doesn't work, then there are more extreme measures, but none involve taking the printer apart.

We have an Epson C82 here that stopped printing black. A new cartridge did not fix the problem. Anyone with hints on cleaning the print head? I know they're not in the cartridge but are in the print head on the printer, and I'm not at all afraid of dissasembling it.
