Hi All Well, I'm back trying to put new hardware into my B&W G3 rev 1. I have the following to install (intend to use this order breaking up the process to make sure each thing works): Tempo ATA/133 card then Maxtor Diamondmax 7200rpm ATA/133 60GB HD CD RW Processor card (encore/zif G4 1Ghz) I've cloned my hard drive and have additional backup (files on ibook).
***I have never started out from scratch installing OS9 and OS10 (usually just upgraded) and am wondering about the step-by-step process for partitioning/installing these.*** My limitations: I can't boot from the ext firewire HD that I've cloned my current internal HD to. I plan on ignoring the current HD and just use the new HD for booting (master). I really just haven't found any good summary instructions for how to format and install the OSs on the new drive.
