Is the 1GHz single processor MDD just as noisy as the dual processor models? The Verax fans are made only for the DP models and the website says they cannot be used with the single processor model. The g4noise website doesn't differentiate single from dual processor models.
No the noise issue was with the original MDD's, all were DP models. The single processor versions came along later as legacy models. They have the new P/S and improved fan standard from Apple. The Verax kit is for the originals, which is why the DP version only. The only single processor MDD I have seen personally is a November 2003 1.25 GHz, and it was acceptable quiet as delivered from Apple.
