Tom, I had a similar problem. I had no PC's in the house and VPC was working for me. Then this winter I became heavily involved with a number of non-profits I volunteer at doing charity auctions with one and large database work with another. The applications would kind of run, kind of very slowly, until they would kind of hang-up from being asked to do to much. The bottom line for me was to get a PC laptop at a very reasonable price that runs the applications perfectly and has a very small foot print on my desk space. It's working for me.
