Let me start by saying I am no Expert. I followed the instructions and it
worked.

To troubleshoot, start with the basics;

1. Ensure the printer is shared from the Windows machine.
2. Ping the pc to ensure connectivity. (terminal "ping pc ip address")
3. Ensure the correct drivers are installed on the MAC.

Assuming the printer is shared correctly, and the two computers can talk to
one another, the issue is *most likely* permissions. You will need to make
sure that the printer is shared with guest privileges OR you are using a
user on the MAC that is known to the Win2K box. Win2K and XP-Pro need
authentication to access shared resources. This is where a MAC expert could
jump in and explain passing the auth across a SMB connection.

OR Upgrade to Panther X.3 :)

Hope this helps a little.

Mike
