Try Target Disk Mode one more time. I have been able to do it with my
Beige G3 with Firewire PCI card, and a Pismo Powerbook. You need a 6 pin
to 6 pin firewire cable. Try holding "T" down on the G4 first. It should
bring up the Beige G3 on your G4 harddrive as an external hard drive. If
that doesn't work, try holding "T" down on the G3. I can only use it one
direction, probably because the Beige isn't original firewire. I just
don't remember which direction works.
