DOH! I guess I forgot to mention that the drive is in an external Firewire box connected to an Orange Micro USB/Firewire card.
I thought the Firewire stuff would eliminate the 127G barrier.
It's possible the Firewire - IDE controller inside the Firewire box has the same limitation. The limitation is due to which version of IDE the controller (any controller) supports.
