Alternate Subject: Chicken Little, puzzled, admits mistake These things are always elusive to us kindergarteners.
I can view the eBay alternate photos with Mozilla 1.3.1. However, it does not work the same way as the same operation in Explorer. After loading an eBay page with a main photo and alternate photos, I scroll down and click on an alternate photo. Then, the entire page reloads with the main photo in place. It looks like nothing has happened. (Explorer gives me an alternate photo at this point in the enlarged field) But, if I click again on the alternate photo, it eventually appears in the enlarged field. This can take a lot longer than I am used to. I can now click on all alternate photos and they will eventually appear in the enlarged field. In the interim between my original message and this one, I have managed to download and install Flash Player 7, after being prompted to do so by a web page which did not show graphics without that plug-in. The graphics did appear on that page after the installation. Have I discovered that the plug-in was needed for the eBay photos? The Mozilla About Plug-ins page tells me that Shockwave Flash 7 comes installed in the browser. I guessed that this is a combination of Shockwave Player and Flash Player, but it must not be. Well, I am sorry to bother everybody. I guess this admission of error disqualifies me from being President, so I will just have to live with it. I would still like opinions on my bank's advice that Netscape 7.02 is supported by their site but Mozilla 1.3.1 is not. David Dudine -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
