What's your setup?  Is your printer attached to your router OR is it
attached to another computer that's on the same network?  What OS are you
using?  

If your printer is attached to your router, it would be best to read the
manual to find out how to configure printing to the router.  For my router
(an SMC) printing to a printer attached to the router requires me to setup
my Mac (OS X) for IP printing.
