Thanks to all for the great suggestions.

Tony, when I call for a startup page, it doesn't show any addresses. The configuration
page shows the Ethernet address and the LocalTalk Node ID, but nothing for TCP/IP.
BTW, if you don't want to waste a sheet on every printer startup, good old LaserWriter
Utility gives you the option of on or off for Startup Page.

Nancy, I read the Asante IP address (which is the default) and tried to use that for
the printer, with no luck--but I did not consider restart. Thanks for the tip! And I
guess I better find or download the Asante manual :--) BTW, I haven't had problems
printing complex pages, except for slowness, but I did max the printer RAM at 32 MB
years ago.

You probably know your 16/600 also has two RAM slots, and can go up to 32 MB, 72-pin,
80 ns or faster, like 70 ns. (See Note 12 at
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=9968 or page 150 of the old Apple
Memory Guide) If you haven't upgraded, you waste the existing 8 MB module so you can
install two 16 MB ones. If you can find them and if it is worth it to you, from $3 to
maybe $14 per 16 MB, shop around. Just a thought.
