As long as Macs have had RCA jacks for sound input and output, I have had my Mac attached to my sound system. I have always attached the Mac as a tape deck and had the Mac play through the stereo and record from the stereo. I have moved to a B&W G3 and it does not have the RCA mic level ports. I would like to find a way to replace those ports.
Griffin's iMic, a USB device can be used to provide a mic level input, but I have not seen anything that will change the line level output of the B&W sound out port to a mic level for my stereo. I would like to find an affordable way of keeping my Mac tied to my sound system and it lacks line level inputs. I am sure others have dealt with this when moving from older AV Macs to the new Macs and I would enjoying hearing about the solutions that were used to make the transition. thanks bill -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
