This will be my last comment on this topic. I promise! When I get my mail, I am always excited at what I may find on the G-List. I patiently read through all of the topics relating to people still using OS 9 on a G3 or even a G4 (none of which applies to me). I patiently read through such topics as Eudora, Netscape and Internet Explorer no longer being supported. All fine topics, but once again, don't apply to me. Once in a 'blue moon', there is something that I find interesting here and that is the MAIN reason that I belong to this list.
I KNOW that Lowendmac is the sponsor of this list and most of you want to get the MOST out of your aging and often obsolete Macs. I, too, have one.....a G3 that I've upgraded with a G4 zif but you have to face the fact also that the modern OS on the Mac is a Unix based GUI system and the world marches on.
Many people are only interested in getting their email and surfing the web but I am also interested in continually learning new things. I have begun an exploration of the unix part of OS X and have been discovering some really cool things.
Per the suggestion of some private emails that I've gotten, I have now subscribed to a G5 list and a OS X Unix list, so I won't be bothering you people with such issues anymore.
So, we'll stick to discussing G3's and G4's and running our old OS 9. I'll continue to monitor the list in hopes of a novel, fresh idea.....but that's about it.

Suggestion 1: amend the boilerplate description to include all "G

Dan Knight is in the process of rewriting the G-List Terms of service. IT
does include G5's.
Exterminate all rational thought.
