If Jason is copying a full 9.2.2 already working on another computer, going through the upgrade path does not apply. What he wants to know is whether 9.2.2 for eMac is a model-specific OS or a universal one, that can be also used on a G3 with no changes made. I'd like to know that too.

I can only add that I've used an eMac restore DVD to install Panther on a couple of my G3's, but to use it, I had to first wipe the HD. The DVD will not boot unless the HD is completely empty. As to whether or not this applies to 9.2.2, I don't really know for sure, but it is a possibliity.
