Silly question. I have an older Epson printer I picked up that is parallel and Mac serial. I know adapters such as the Keyspan serial - USB will let me use this on a newer machine.

Will a generic-type adapter that seems to come with some printers and keyboard work as well? I want to bring it to work and hook it up to an iMac that we can't add a serial card to. I'll buy a real adapter if I need to, but the guy that brought the iMac in said he's got a bunch of small adapters. I just don't know if they will work OK or not.

Sorry for the dumb question, you'd think after all these years and Macs I'd know this, but the bliss of being networked at home on a FW800 is sweet LOL <blushing>

Thanks,

Diane
