Hey folks, I just upgraded my Jaguar B&W G4/600 to Panther (not a clean install just an upgrade... I know I know I should try to do a clean install when possible) and now it seems I'm up the creek without a paddle.
I tried disk permission repairs but I keep getting the same problem. The boot process seems fine, but when it tries to go to the finder desktop I get NO menu bar and my drives don't appear. The dock works and as you can see I still have access to my mail program. In the dock when I click on the finder icon, the dialogue bubble for the finder says Finder Not Running. Any ideas as to how to fix this problem? BTW if I start a program through the dock I get the menu bar back but only for that program, the finder still doesn't work.
