I'm pretty sour on os X printing.

At least with my Epson 785epx printer, the controls available in X (10.3.6) are
far fewer than I can get in os9. So I do most of my graphics work in 9.

I have the gimp-print 4.3.5 download package but I can't make much of it.
Apparently most of what it takes to put it together is done in Unix on the
terminal. I don't want to waste hours trying to make that work unless I know
it's going somewhere.

I looked at the interface available in the Cups system (supplied in the gimp
distribution) and it looks very good but I can't figure out if it will work in
osX. Installing it seems to require a link to the Cups website, which then
links to Apple developers.

I knew that Apple had integrated some of the gimp-cups stuff into the os, but I
don't see how or if it can be accessed seperately from the standard printing
windows and panes. (pains!)

Is there a way I can get to print using the Cups gui?

I appreciate any enlightenment here.

Rich
