Is it likely, or possible that my 10,000 RPM SCSI Cheetahs are not up to speed in time for the drivers to be accessed on my Beige G3 rev 1/A ROM during boot? Something like this appears to be happening. They do take a while to wind up.Two SCA SCSI drives, two new OS X 10.2.1 installs, NO boot whether it's the built-in SCSI bus or my ATTO controller but they mount and the OS X files are all accessible.

It's possible. Make sure they're not jumpered to wait for a 'wake-up' or to delay spinup. Many higher-end SCSI drives do have such settings.


What model # Cheetah are they?

I think, though, that the reason people aren't replying is that they don't have a solution for you...
