I am trying to instruct a Mac Newbie PC switcher on how to make a backup copy of his Panther 10.3.7 install CDs. Problem is, I'm two states away AND I have not used Panther, only Jaguar 10.2.8. I was going to tell him to make a disk image in Disk Copy and burn the image right from that app until I remembered it's now part of Disk Utility in Panther and works differently. I searched for some instructions and what I found says to make an .iso image to burn from with no mention of .dmg.

What's changed here since 10.2.x ? Is .iso similar to a .dmg? What are the proper steps to tell him? (He knows nothing about Macs so I didn't just want to tell him to look it up in "help").

Thanks,

Mike
