Nope, VPC 7 works like it always did.

It would be difficult for MS to do this; VPC is not a Windows emulator, it's an PC emulator. This is the difference between the old SoftWindows and Virtual PC.

There would also be howls of outrage form their user base.

SoftWindows WAS a Windows emulator; it worked at a much higher level than VPC (or all the other emulators, like BOCHS), which emulates the raw hardware.
