We have three printers here at work, and only the one in my room is PostScript compatible. As the sole Mac user I cannot even dream about printing to the other two. (HP 1200 and some Xerox thing...)
The HP1200 has PostScript Level 2 (and PCL5e/6, which OSX also can use).
Parallel and USB ports; either get a USB card for the Mac or an ethernet
print server.
A B&W HAS USB ports built in.
