I have the same type of problem with Appleworks as well. I have tried
many solutions. Non to any success. I believe my problems stem from the
fact that I got Appleworks from an iMac installation CD with OS 9.1 on
it. The version of AW is 6.04, but I cannot get it to upgrade to 6.2.8
(for OS 9) & 6.2.9 (for OS X). It will function in OS X, but not fully.
In order to make a pdf out of some file I need to open a fresh document
of the same design and "select all" from the original document, then
group the info, then copy and paste into the document created in OS X.
Major pain in the butt. You'd think a native Apple program would have
less bumps in it than the comparable software from the company we all
love to hate.
