Ok, the G3 400 b/w came yesterday with OS 9.0 and I installed everything I needed there, I upgraded to 9.2.2, installed the firmware updates and all software I needed before attempting to install OS X.
PROBLEM: When I attempted to install OS X in it, the machine said it couldn't install because the disk was formatted in a format not supported by X and that it needed to be formatted as extended. I had no idea until it was too late. This Mac has a CD rom and one harddrive, nothing else (I got a SCSI external which is not compatible). It has USB and FW but I've got no USB or Firewire storage devices, just a SCSI 25 ext HD. So I can't back up anything and I definitely dont want to install everything again. I have an ethernet cable from my DSL cable, and my G3 333 has plenty of room, can I connect them and transfer the whole drive so I dont have to install everything again? Then when I am done with OS X, I just move the contents to the drive once more. I appreciate your help Lili -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
