Woo hoo. Say good by to drag and drop but don't forget your password in X. Wait till you get your first kernal panic:-) The bugs in Panther have been known to erase external FireWire drives if the CPU goes to sleep. Perfection is hard to reach. Wait for Tiger.

Oh, puleeze. John Dvorak can come up with better fud.

Drag and drop works just fine in OS X.

If you forget your password, boot from the system CD, select 'Change Password' from the menu.

I'm still waiting for my first kernel panic on three of my four OS X systems.

That 10.3 Firewire bug? Fixed within weeks of the release of Panther, it only applied to SOME firewire chipsets, and it was that the drive would be screwed up if it was on at restart, it had nothing to do with sleep whatsoever.

But of course, when Tiger comes out, you'll find some little nit to pick on and say 'It's useless, wait for Snow Leopard!' (hey, Apple's running out of cats...)
