They seem to want owners to take their computers to an Apple Repair center
instead of digging into the themselves, even though some of the older Apple
Products would be cost prohibitive to deal with that way. When Apple finds
out about service manuals posted on line they get very aggressive about
forcing then off line.

It has always been an unwritten rule not to post the URL of any manuals on
the list to keep that from happening, as Apple is very hard core about this
issue. 

"Keep it off list, share it only off list!"
