Just wanna say these prices sound fair; I think a 300 would cost less than
20 dollars, a 350 about 30 dollars, I dont think a 450 could be more than 50
dollars. I got a 350 well over a year ago, probably more than 2 years ago, for
$35 off eBay.
In a beige, you can safely add 33MHz to the speed. Since the bus speed
is 66MHz, your only other option would be 66MHz, which you most likely cant do
without extreme cooling. You could change the bus speed to 83MHz, but youd
need to make sure your RAM is PC100 or faster.

Well I read all that overclocking stuff carefully and googled for actual jumper settings, got some real nice pics and a table for each speed.
My old G3 Minitower which WAS 233 mhz now has my old B&W's processor (which is 300 mhz) and running at a lovely 333 mhz! Amazingly simple, probably took all of 5 minutes to actually do, the research part probably took more like 20.
So I'm quite proud of myself! Also looked up supported scanners on Apple for OS X and then found an Epson Perfection 610 on ebay, won it for $9.99!!! Just got tired of Renata's (B&W) recalcitrance at doing scsi (have a 2930 card) she just HATES it so I gave up.
Am absolutely LOVING OS X and it is thanks to all of you patient and wise G-Listers!
