No, it's an integral part of the Finder and you would see little, if
any gain, iac. Spotlight is VERY fast at writing to it's database.
Likewise, Dashboard.
No. You can take widgets out of Dashboard so none are running, but
Dashboard is a part of the Dock (if you look at Activity Monitor you
don't see any 'dashboard' process, and to reset the Dashboard you
need to restart the dock.)
