There /may/ be some problems with booting from the drive and getting the Apple software to see it as a burner (if you go that route). The burner part can be fixed with patchburn (google for it). Myself, I dropped a LiteOn combo drive into my B&W and it works fine for booting. Burning CD's was fixed with pathburn. > What are the options I have for installing hard drives on this > machine? I believe a third party IDE controller doesn't have that limitation. External drives may or may not have that problem, I've received conflicting information on that. > What video cards are excellent choices for upgrade in particular? > What kind of card does it use: PCI of AGP? PCI. The fastest PCI card I've seen for the B&W is a Radeon 9200, at least, that one is the most common. > Which of the ZIF upgrades is worth my attention? Do any of them have > any bugs/issues? I know that some of the earlier ZIF upgrades would drop your front side bus dwon from 100 to 66, but I don't know if that is still the case. Are they worth it? Depends on the cost. To me, most of them, while it would be really cool to have a 1 GHz+ B&W, for the cost, I may as well wait a bit and pick up a sawtooth and get the better system. Of course, YMMV. What works for me may not for you or anyone else. -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
