No kidding. I remember a friend of mine when he worked for Apple on
their CS group some time ago. A bit of news came down the pipe that
Apple had fired their advertisement company (the company was buying
space in Apple magazines, not the 'generic' computer publications.
Preaching to the choir, as it were).
The common response to this news was "We had an advertising company?"
Agreed! All you ever see is ads for iPods, and iTunes. I haven't seen TV
ads for anything else since the G5 first came out. If you didn't know
better you would wonder if Apple was still in the computer business!
Personally, it will be a cold day in hell before I buy an Intel-powered
Mac. I never liked Intel. Even back when I was in the Windozes world I
ran AMD only. My lone remaining PC (home-built) is running a 1.2 Ghz
Athlon (and Mandrake 10.1 Linux). Maybe that will be my future OS of
choice. After all, it's Unix based too.........
