Works fine here.  That is, as long as I keep the inbox small enough.  Once
it gets up around 75MB, it's time to build a new inbox, since it WILL
crash.  Even under MacOS 8.1, it'd do it.

Eudora keeps the main three mailboxes open and mapped all the time -- In, Out, Trash. So if you're going to run with really big main mailboxes, then you need to give Eudora lots of extra memory to maintain them.

You're supposed to create topical mailboxes, and transfer your read mail to them... The extra mailboxes aren't kept mapped all the time.
