Now I either have a revision 2 sawtooth or ... hang on a moe ... is
there a family number on/in the case I could eyeball to answer my own

The only problem with everymac.com is that it doesnt list the
different
revisions of each motherboard. A better site would be www.apple-
history.com if
that site is still up. Anyway, if you actually want a sawtooth and
not any other
g4 model, there were 2 revisions, the rev 1 did not support dual
processors,
the rev 2 did.
