If you flash the drive to rpc1 you can have an infinite number

Since it's a homemade video, you should have no problems extracting
it with a tool l ike MactheRipper. Once extracted, it should play
from the HD fine or you could reburn it with the US Region code ( if
that's the issue). (you can reset the region code at time of
extraction).

Does it play on your computer?
The other thing, if it's a DVD-R disk, it could just be incompatible
with your player. DVD+R is more playable on dedicated players, like
for home use. From what I've read anyway, I've not tested much yet.
