Question:
1) Do I really save much money on elec. by turning my G3/300 off after
each use? Am I causing myself grief later by not opting for "sleep"? It
goes on and off about six times a day.

2) The "old duffer", let see that term could refer both to my G/3 and
myself, age 74. The Mac is probably close to ten years old. It came from
an academic background, formerly owned bu U. of Michigan, I've had it
about six months.

3) Works great, probably because I don't change things too much. Am
going to upgrade a bit, getting a RAM of 256 next week to boost the
memory. Now has 192 MB.

4) Would I see significant changes for the good if I went from present
9.1 to, say 9.2 or 9.3. Yes eventually will need to go the X but now is
not the time for me to do so

At 74 would I be the oldest member of the G list? Its great getting old.
You "under 65's" can look forward forward to "senior coffee at Mc
Donald's", "half price on the bus" "early bird specials" . You never run
out of conversation with friends about their aches and pains, then comes
the the ultimate thing to look forward to " the grim reaper".
