Greetings Fellow G Listers, I have question I am hoping someone on the
list might be able to answer. I have a Rev2 450MHZ B & W with three
hard drives inside one is a SATA 120gb Maxtor running OS X.3.9, the
other is a Sata 80gb Hitachi Deskstar both of these are running off of a
SIIG SATA controller card, the last is a Maxtor DiamondMax 40gb ATA
drive running off the system ATA. The problem is that if I restart the B
& W in OS 9.2.2 off of the 40gb Maxtor on the system ATA then I can't
get back to the OS X volumes on the SATA card. They don't show up in the
OS 9 startup Disc window. The only way I can get back to OS X is to
reinsert the OS X CD. Although this works it is not ideal. Does anyone
on the list have a solution. Thank you for any and all help.
Brad

It's likely the disks were formatted as the unix only format, I forget what it's called off hand.

I don't think either of these methods work on a B&W but it's worth a try. You can select the boot disk at startup time by holding down the option key at startup. You can force it to boot to X by holding down the X key at startup.

Open Firmware might do it but I don't know how.

A PRAM Zap might do it.
